Lush haul!

Back in 1990s or something, Lush had a store here in Singapore. It closed down then maybe due to low sales? But now it's back in Singapore! At Wisma Atria to be exact. The Lush hype is here for quite long now, with joining sprees as the only choice to get hold of the products. I wasn't interested in Lush or bath and body products but with the opening of the new store, seems that I have jumped onto the bandwagon!

I bought four items in total in two separate trips to Lush. Only three are pictured because the last one is a body butter and it melts fast! Haha so I didn't attempt to take any shots of it.

Sweet Lips lips scrub is a vanilla and chocolate sugar scrub that smells like one of the hari raya cookies! It has jojoba oil to moisturise the lips after scrubbing away the flakes. They say that you can lick the sugar scrub off after using but I prefer to wipe off instead haha. I only used it once but I must say it is indeed moisturising! Probably one of my favourite things to use to exfoliate my lips haha.

Next is the Colour Supplements. It is actually one of the few things in Lush that is actually make up! I got the tone in dark yellow because I'm in the NC range in MAC! If you are in the NW range, the pink shades would suit you better! Or if you're really really light skinned/pale, shade Jackie Oats is the lightest shade! I used it once, as a tinted moisturiser (one pump of moisturiser and a portion of CS) and I love it! I like the finish when I didn't set with powder, quite a glow to the skin! I didn't really look out on the longevity of it though, oops.

The body butter I bought is called Buffy. I had to cut it up into four as it melts fast in the shower. These require to be refrigerated so it doesn't go bad or melt away. I am okay with the smell. Kind of herbal but when I already used it on my body, I don't fancy the smell at all! I thought that maybe because it reacted to my skin's natural oils or that I got a bad one. It is sad about the smell because I truly LOVE how this product works! I love the exfoliating bits even better than The Body Shop's Satsuma Body Polish. It also moisturises your legs/body so you don't have to moisturise after! But don't go too overboard with the number of times you put it on your skin as it may get a little greasy for you! I'll probably get the other body butters next time but now I'll have to use Buffy up as I love the effect too much that I can forgive the smell.

Last but not least, my favourite of this haul, Mask of Magnaminty! Seriously this mask is the best feeling ever! So refreshing! It feels minty and cooling when in contact with the skin, and when it dries and you have to wash off, it acts as an exfoliator! The sm
ell of it is okay to me, because I don't really like mint and methol smelling stuff, it's just me haha. After washing off the mask with warm water, my skins feels so smooth oh god I want to cry. The smooth effect lasts the whole day but with continous usage, the skin texture would hopefully be better!

If you're new to Lush and want to get something, get the Mask of Magnaminty! Must try that mask! But buy the smaller size version first for all the Lush products. It is because these products are homemade with natural ingredients and lesser preservatives, their shelf live are shorter than most products there in the market. These stickers that should you the person who made it and the date it was made and expire are a cute touch I must say.

I'm pretty happy with this haul and can't wait to purchase more of their stuff like the solid shampoo, conditioners and their cleansers! I'll probably convert everything I use to Lush because of the fact that they are freshly made and are mostly natural! Well if only I had a bath tub so I could try their bath bombs and bubble bars!

Preview of my next haul post!

Hope all is well.
